Hours & Appointments
Business hours are Monday through Friday 9.30am to 5.00pm. Any communications left for us outside of these hours will be attended to on the next business day. Sessions are available by appointment only.
Your Health & Well-Being
As there may be certain applications of techniques that need to be altered or avoided under certain circumstances, it is imperative that you keep the practitioner informed of any changes to your health and well-being.
Cancellations & Missed Appointments
Your appointment times are reserved exclusively for you. Therefore, if you find that you will be unable to attend your appointment, notification is required at least 48 hours in advance during the business week of Monday through Friday. Example: If a session reserved for 3.30pm Monday is to be cancelled or rescheduled, notice must be given before 3.30pm on the preceding Thursday.
If a late cancellation can be filled by another client on the stand-by list that is kept by the practice the fee to the original session holder may be waived. This courtesy is offered whenever possible but cannot be guaranteed. Under the same consideration, if the practitioner misses an appointment due to a scheduling error you will receive a complimentary session for your inconvenience.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive up to 30 minutes late for your session time you will receive treatment for the time remaining in the scheduled time. At the 30-minute mark the session is considered a missed appointment as not enough time remains for reasonable application of technique.
Colds, Flu & Contagious Conditions
Bodywork while you have a fever, cold, flu, COVID, stomach bug, pink eye, skin infection or any other contagious condition can make you feel worse and slow your recovery, and it puts other clients and the practitioner at risk, so sessions can’t go ahead until you’re no longer contagious. Late cancellations due to a contagious condition may be excused at the practitioner’s discretion, and notice must be given as soon as symptoms appear. If you arrive for a session with a contagious condition, it will be rescheduled and the full session fee will apply. Most illnesses are contagious for about 5 days before and 5 days after symptoms, so please contact the practitioner first if you’re unsure.
Severe Weather
The practice follows the University of Louisville severe weather schedule. If UofL is holding classes, sessions go ahead as scheduled. If UofL cancels classes, any session cancelled that day, by client or practitioner, carries no charge.
Packages & Gift Certificates
Packages and gift certificates are paid in full at purchase and are non-refundable and non-transferable. Gift certificates are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. Packages of 4 sessions are valid for 6 months, and packages of 8 or 16 sessions for 12 months.
Payment by Check
The fee for a returned check is $50 plus any bank charges that may be incurred.
